KeymasterClassic Rules
Classic is a dice game that requires strategy and luck. The goal of the game is to be the first player to score 10,000 points. This is a variation on a classic dice game.
Number of Players
Classic can be played by 2 or more players.
Equipment
- 6 six-sided dice
- Paper and pencil for keeping score
Setup
Each player takes turns rolling all six dice. Players accumulate points based on certain combinations. The first player to reach 10,000 points wins the game.
How to Score
- A single 1 is worth 100 points
- A single 6 is worth 50 points
- Three 1s are worth 1,000 points
- Three of any other number (2s, 3s, 4s, 5s, 6s) are worth 100 times the number (e.g., three 4s are worth 400 points)
- Four of a kind is worth double the points of three of a kind
- Five of a kind is worth triple the points of three of a kind
- Six of a kind is worth quadruple the points of three of a kind
- A straight (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) is worth 1,500 points
- Three pairs is worth 1,500 points
- Two triplets are worth 2,500 points
Gameplay
On each player’s turn, they roll all six dice. After each roll, the player must set aside at least one die that scores points. The player may then either:
- Continue rolling the remaining dice
- Stop and bank the accumulated score for that round
If the player sets aside all six dice, they may roll all six dice again and continue accumulating points.
If none of the dice score in a roll, the player “Hexles” and loses all points accumulated in that round. The turn then passes to the next player.
Winning the Game
The game continues until a player reaches 10,000 points. Once a player reaches 10,000 points, each of the other players gets one final turn to try and beat that score. The player with the highest score at the end of the final round wins.
Additional Rules
- Players must score at least 500 points in a single turn before they can start banking points.
- If a player does not have a set three times in a row, they lose 1,000 points from their total score.
